Mercedes-Benz might sport cashmere and silk interiors in its next-generation S-Class


Being an animal lover, leather interiors on cars is kind of difficult for me to digest. And if you think like me, then this news will make you happy too. While leather was picked considering that it was could stand up to adverse weather conditions, the Mercedes Benz interior color and trim team at their Design Center in Sindelfingen is now trying to see how cashmere and silk fabrics will work for the next-generation S-Class. While maintenance is an issue, it’s not that big a deal, say the Mercedes Benz, the design team. There is also a buzz that the trim might be set in banana wood. The next S-Class is touted to be out as a 2013 model year.
