Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG scheduled to premier in Frankfurt Motor Show

The Mercedes-Benz AMG 300SL is an amazing sedan, and it isn’t surprising to know that it has given birth to new design inspiration, verily, the 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG which is scheduled to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show this Autumn. However, Benz’s latest model is inspired by the 1954 Mercedes 300 SL, but it’s modified to sport the brisk, 21st-century look. The interior is an airplane lookalike, featuring a frontal and centered infotainment system, Bluetooth, climate control, COMAND, mounted shifter below, surrounded by aluminum or carbon fiber trim.

The sedan is equipped with stylish Gullwing doors and is capable of 571 hp and 650 Nm of torque with its front mid-engine V8 as well as a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It plunges to a top speed of 315kms/hr like all sports cars, so you’d better be prepared to pay a hefty price of USD$210,000 for all that goodness.
