Bugatti luxury sedans will be based on Audi A8 platform

If you bought the Veyron supercar, cheer up, ‘cos you are the last of the creed to get a (car) breed like that. Yup, you are thinking right. Bugatti has now decided to spend time building luxury sedans. And helping them in this are the design heads, Audi and Porsche. The new Bugattis are expected to debut sometime in 2014. But if car experts are to be believed, the future Bugatti sedan will be built on the same platform as the Audi A8. Now, what does that mean for the staunch Bugatti-rati? Well, it means the model, though, will be limited to only 300 units and carry the same price tag as Veyron, which means exclusivity guaranteed; it may not have much of the Bugatti-ness left that we love!

Rumors have it that the sedan model will feature design elements from Bugatti’s latest concept, the 16 C Galibier – basically, a c big round LED-lit headlamps and the clamshell running the length of the vehicle, which became synonymous with the brand identity under Jean Bugatti in Type 57.
