While the Volkswagen Group has recently faced severe backlash due to an emissions scandal in the United States, Stuttgart-based Porsche AG seems unaffected and is instead holding its head high with the unveiling of the 911 GTS Rennsport Reunion Edition. Built in celebration of the fifth Rennsport Reunion, this 911 GTS debuted very recently at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Limited to just 25 units worldwide, this car could be more than just yet another exorbitantly priced version of the 911. The car has been built by Porsche Exclusive and is based on the 430hp 911 Carrera GTS. The car comes in a custom Fashion Grey colour, with decorative black and red decals on its roof, hood and decklid.
The cosmetic changes aren’t all that make the 911 GTS Rennsport Reunion Edition car a drool-worthy machine however. Under its hood, this one sports a 3.8 litre flat-six engine that’s capable of taking this car to the 60 mph mark in less than 4.2 seconds. With a top speed of 190 mph and Porsche’s signature supercar road, this 911 GTS is a head-turner. To top it all, Porsche has added 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats, the PASM Sport Suspension, as well as a top-notch Bose Audio Package. All of this comes with a price tag of $148,335, high enough to make many sceptics think twice before bringing one of these special edition cars home.
