Even fuels are divided on class and sector, and petrol had always had the upper hand to provide energy for the uber-luxurious wheels. Porsche, however, feels that it might be time to change this reputation and has introduced a diesel Panamera right after its diesel Cayenne. The vehicle will feature a Porsche-tuned version of Volkswagen’s 3.0-liter common-rail turbo-diesel engine that will produce 247 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to its eight-speed automatic stop-start capability, the car will be able to race to 62 miles in just 6.8 seconds and can travel to up to 745 miles in a full tank. The car will cost $119,000 in Germany, including VAT. No plans announced yet on a US release.
