Race the Base: Unique fundraiser for speed enthusiasts


Here is one adrenaline-bursting, charity event that every speed enthusiast must not give a miss. Zahir Rana, the owner of ZR Auto, has organized a charity event to allow supercar owners to have their time on the runway at the Canadian Forces Base in Cold Lake, Alberta. The event dubbed, the Race the Base fundraiser is sure to attract speedsters from across the globe. If you own one of those powerful supercars that we feature every now and then a, you had better book yourself a slot at this event. To enjoy this opportunity, you have to shell out CAD1,500 ($1,420) per car and CAD500 ($475) per passenger. Once on the runway, you can race your car up to speeds of 185mph and above. What is more, the crowd will also be entertained by an exhibition by Rana who will put his twin-turbo, 860-horsepower Ferrari Enzo toe-to-toe with a CF-18 Hornet fighter jet.
