For 2018, Ford’s classic Mustang is getting a serious upgrade. The new version of the much loved car will feature a much sportier look and several design details as well as functional elements have been changed. A significant change is the addition of the MagneRide magnetorheological adaptive dampers which will be available on both EcoBoost and GT Performance Packs.

The old 3.7L V6 engine has been done away with and the 5.0L V8 will have improved horsepower and torque. However, the company has not yet divulged the specifics of this. Both port and direct fuel injection will be offered along with a 10-speed automatic transmission alongside a 6-speed manual. The manual will get a twin-disc clutch and a new dual-mass flywheel on V8 models.
The exterior is also dramatically different with a lowered hood, a new lower rear diffuser in the back and a new decklid wing on Performance Package models. As for the interior a 12-inch digital gauge cluster replaces the old analog speedometer and tachometer.
We’re loving this new look, and we can’t wait until this new Mustang hits the streets!
