It’s been a year full of surprises in the automotive market and now as 2015 comes to a close, we decided to look back and spot the most “loved” car of the year. While we were expecting a hybrid to snatch the crown however, automotive brand analysis firm Strategic Visions stated that the “most loved vehicle for 2015” is the Porsche Macan! While hybrids scored lower than sleeper cars and mini-vans, the Porsche Macan earned a “love index” of 629, as compared to the 400 scored for the industry overall. The Macan sports a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 340 horses and the car isn’t really the most energy-efficient or eco-friendly vehicle available today.
That, however, hasn’t stopped people from loving the $54,400 car! While the Tesla Model S was the “most loved vehicle” of 2014, the manufacturer did not allow the folks at Strategic Visions to survey customers from all 50 states, leading to the exclusion of the car from the report. According to a Forbes report, “Tesla declined to provide customer sales information for the three-stage survey this year.” Do you think the Porsche Macan deserves the love? Tell us what you think about the “most loved vehicle for 2015” with a comment!
