Set for an official debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe Night Edition is the latest addition to the S-Class range. According to the brand, this car combines “the classic proportions of a Gran Turismo with modern luxury and state-of-the-art technology” and is the largest two-door car in the Mercedes-Benz portfolio.
The “Night Edition”, as you can imagine, is as all-black as they come featuring shadowy (outside) mirrors, window sill inserts, and grilles. Even the 20-inch AMG alloy wheels have been blacked out. AMG-styled front and rear aprons are the finishing touches. The car pictured here is not the black version though, this color is called Selenite Grey Magno.
The colors inside the cabin can be chosen by the buyer with options including black/black, crystal gray/black, saddle brown/black, and Bengal red/black. Luxe Nappa leather in the chosen colors will dress the AMG sports steering wheel and the upholstery. A “Night Edition” logo will be seen on the steering wheel and other elements of the interior. Buyers will also have a say in the engine that powers the car; they will have a choice between different engines ranging from 367 to 455 hp with rear- or four-wheel-drive.
Since orders will be taken starting Jan 9, the car will actually reach buyers pretty late. European Merc fans will have their Night Editions in April 2017 while Americans will have to wait until August 2017. We will keep you updated on the price.
