Heesen Yachts recently launched their hotly anticipated superyacht Project Nova christened: Home. The 163-foot vessel promises to be a virtually soundless abode even at a cruising speed of 9 knots. This is the first fast displacement with hybrid propulsion that we’ve seen from Heesen.
What makes it a hybrid? Home’s two propulsion power sources, diesel mechanical and diesel electrical, are what give it hybrid status. But it has a lot more going for it than just that, Home is a low-fuel-burning vessel and is super quiet when in electrical mode.
It’s no slouch in the design department either, the yachts modern and minimal exterior was created by Omega Architects. The team gave this yacht a number of cool details like the stairway leading up to the main deck and a 7-foot draft that enables Home to cruise through shallower waters too.
On the inside, the contemporary theme is kept going with white and neutral colors accented by pops of red. . Five guest cabins, spa and gym facilities, a Jacuzzi and dining area ensure that the yacht is as useful for boat parties as it is for family getaways.
Its spectacular promise of quietness makes it a particularly great vessel for quite retreats and solo adventures.
