Check out Tillberg Design of Sweden’s (TDoS) latest superyacht concept – the Aegir 2.0. A smart successor of version 1.0, the wind-powered trimaran claims to have ‘the lowest possible environmental footprint’ of any yacht ever built to date. Yes, that’s right!
Combining world-class design with advanced technology, the yacht features an infinity pool in the aft and Jacuzzi in the fore along with panoramic glass walls and an open-air viewing platform with a bar on the sky deck. It also houses a gym and spa, two tender garages, and accommodation for 12 guests and 16 crew.
According to TDoS Partner and Yacht Director Daniel Nerhage, the Aegir 2.0 is conceptualized to offer ‘unparalleled luxury with the lowest possible environmental footprint.’ It showcases cutting-edge Hydronics with a hybrid wind-electric propulsion system that recharges the batteries under sail and an iconic rig design estimated to be twice as efficient as a standard rig.
Its interiors boast organic materials and natural light combined with a subtle color palette. Simultaneously, the vessel’s exterior showcases a striking black wing and Scandinavian-style clean lines for an appealing finish. Well, sustainable luxury just got a whole new meaning with TDoS’s Aegir 2!
