Located on the Costa Del Sol to the south of Marbella, Puerto Banús is often described as the location where the Ferraris meet the Ferretti’s. What makes this place truly unique is its incredible location, situated right on the shore along the Mediterranean Sea. Puerto Banús has always been a popular destination amongst celebrities, reality stars, and corporate heirs. They can simply sail along the South of Spain in their yachts and dock at one of the most luxurious marinas in the world. The marina provides everything the rich and famous could ever want, great food, nightclubs, fast cars, and most importantly, shopping.
What sets Puerto Banús apart from the rest of Marbella is the difference in cars; as you get nearer, you will notice a difference in cars, Peugeot’s turn into Audi’s, which then turn into a parade of Ferraris, Rolls Royces, BMWs, and Bugattis. All these cars, of course, get prime parking space right across the Ferretis, Sunseekers, and Gulf Craft Yachts docked at this pristine marina. Stroll along the streets and stop in at one of the many restaurants and cafes, sip on Spain’s famous sangria and look out at a view that no amount of money could ever match.
If you’re looking for another type of relaxation, you can stop at one of the many boutiques that Puerto Banus offers, along the first and second lines of the marina, you will find all the usual suspects; Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, Dolce, and Gabbana, Burberry, etc. The more economically inclined high street brands such as Zara and Bershka can be found near Banderas Square. Puerto Banús is not exclusively for the rich; indulge in the pleasure of driving a Ferrari by renting one for a test driver. Or do as I did and simply enjoy a cone of your favorite Haagen Daz ice cream and watch the opulence pass you by.
