Affordable Businessclass – A look inside Ryan Air’s newest Business Plus service

European budget carrier Ryanair has announced a new Business Plus option, a low-budget version of traditional Business Class. There will be no reclining seats, free champagne or en-suite showers. However, it will be Business Class flying, true to Ryanair’s low-cost business model. The new Business Plus service, which will cost from €69.99 (approx. $91) is the latest development in the airline’s overhaul to soften its image for poor service. The airline has already introduced an updated website, a free second carry-on bag, a new app and ‘Ryanair Family Extra’ service.

The Business Plus passengers will get priority boarding, premium seats, 20kg bag allowance, fast-track security as well as flexibility on ticket changes. While there is no change in the actual cabin but the new service adds value to its current service, rather than modifying the existing seats and cabins.

Flexible ticketing offers unlimited flight changes and the option to change flights on the day of travel at no cost. Premium seats will offer extra legroom and speedy exit but will not recline or offer any privacy. The will be located at the front, middle and back of the plane including seats by the emergency exit.

Fast-track airport security will available at select airports including Dublin, Barcelona, Brussels Charleroi, East Midlands, Liverpool, London Stansted, Manchester and Milan Bergamo.
