Emirates is known for its quality service and luxe aircraft. And in introducing the world’s shortest flight, the airlines have now introduced operations of the A380 between Dubai and Muscat which will take only 75 minutes to cover a distance of over 211 miles. The Aircraft will boast a three-class configuration and will carry a total of 519 passengers on the route.
As per reports, the airline will operate the superjumbo jet on twice-daily services between its hub in Dubai and Muscat International Airport in Oman. The first flight will leave Dubai at 8.25am and land in Muscat by 9.40am with the return flight departing Oman at 11.15am and landing in the UAE at 12.25pm. Similarly, the second flight will depart Dubai at 4.10 pm and land in Muscat by 5.25 pm with the return leg scheduled to leave Muscat at 7.05pm and land in Dubai by 8.15pm.
The A380 jet will feature with 429 economy seats on the lower deck with 76 business class flatbed seats and 14 first class private suites meaning that close to 2,000 passengers will be able to fly the route each day. The twice-daily flight will currently run over the summer period until around late October with an extension expected for the winter schedule. In other news, Emirates also announced that it will retire its fleet of A380’s by 2030.
