Etihad Airways’ A380 ‘First Apartments’ will offer breakfast in bed up in the skies

Taking design cues from the boutique hotels, Etihad Airways ‘First Apartments’ on the A380 will feature reclining lounge seats, full-length bed, minibar, personal vanity, wardrobe and an en-suite shower to redefine the First Class and set a new industry standard. Etihad Airways is also enhancing the First Class travel experience on its upgraded Boeing 787s with the ‘First Suites’.

Nine ‘First Apartments’ will be installed on the upper deck in a 1-1 configuration creating the only single aisle First Class cabin in the industry, offering 74 per cent larger footprint than its existing First Class suite.

Each ‘First Apartment’ has a total area of 39 square feet with the reclining chair and ottoman upholstered with the finest Poltrona Frau leather. The ottoman opens into an 81-inch long bed. The First Apartments have 64 inch high sliding door and come equipped with an adjustable 24-inch flat screen TV.

The inflight Chef will take orders from an a la carte menu, including the signature grill, or prepare something special using fresh ingredients from the kitchen.
