Etihad Airways has opened its new First and Business Class Lounge at the Los Angeles International Airport, set within the Tom Bradley International Terminal. This comes shortly after the unveiling of the exclusive Abu Dhabi lounge.
It is situated within the recently renovated terminal, which overlooks the shopping promenade.
The new lounge is the third premium offering in the US, after Washington and New York. It will cater to its daily EY 170 Boeing 777 service to Abu Dhabi.
The décor is Modern Arabian, with geometric patterns and colours of the desert.
This is enhanced with a fine wine collection with Californian and European labels.
An interesting drink to check out is a specially developed signature cocktail by London-based Fluid Movement. It is inspired by the strong Latin influences in Los Angeles and “made with tequila and homemade rice milk, spiced and enriched with cacao nib and chili liqueur, finished off with a spiced, cotton candy highball, made using the lounge’s own cotton candy machine”.
The 407 sq m space features luxurious seating, an à la carte dining area, showcase bar, TV area, shower facilities, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, multi-zone electrical and USB power outlets.
You can also get a selection of international magazines and daily newspapers.
A separate VIP area can also be made available when required.
There is a prayer room as well at the back of the lounge.
The men’s restroom has two stalls and two urinals, as well as a shower room with a walk-in shower, sink and toilet.
The buffet spread is adequate. There is an à la carte dining menu too, as well as an extensive selection of mocktails.
The Lounge is open for the exclusive use of Etihad First Class and Business Class guests, Etihad Guest Platinum, Gold and Silver members flying on EY170, and Etihad Airways Partner (EAP) airlines’ equivalent Platinum and Gold members.
