If you plan a budget trip, you most definitely need to cancel Moscow from your list of most likely holiday destinations. Why? Because staying in this city will be anything but cheap. According to the Hogg Robinson Group survey, hotels in Moscow have been revealed as the world’s most expensive. The hotels of Moscow have bagged this title for the fifth consecutive year! According to the survey, average room rates in the Russian capital were £265 ($420) a night. Hotels in Abu Dhabi have secured the second spot with average room rates of £225 ($354), while hotels in New York have bagged the third spot. Believe it or not, Europe’s most expensive city, London has secured fifth place in this survey with average hotel rates at £152 ($240). Due to the economic crisis, there has been a slash in many hotels’ prices to woo customers. However, due to the pound’s falling rate, the slash of rates has made no difference to the British travelers. Travelers had better check this survey before booking their next holiday.
