From crafted storefront to handles carved in pure leather, from tailor made luxury to palm wood and steel interiors. From suede walls to mohair embellished furniture. Kept in natural, muted and matte and in accents of brown and tan, the fourth Bottega Veneta shop in Shanghai is here to mesmerize. The Italian luxury label belonging to the PPR group recently opened its fourth flagship store in Shanghai and it’s the biggest yet in China, occupying a sprawling 21 stores or 530 square meters stretched over 2 floors. Situated in Bund, a famous, historic quarter of Shanghai and nestled within Yifeng Galleria shopping center, a house that caters exclusively with fashion and luxury brands, this store might make you feel a bit lost. The first level houses exclusively the brand’s products: handbags, luggage, men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, as well as footwear, eyewear and small leather goods and accessories.
The second floor is entirely dedicated to art: spread over 2300 square feet, the store will house non-commercial exhibitions of work’s of young Chinese independent artist all year long.
The store which will showcase various artistic forms, under the supervision of Chinese art expert Gu Sheng, this is also the brand’s very first boutique store to have a space entirely devoted to art. We definitely see possibilities here- the paintings are most likely to find its way to Milan!
