Raising Luxury Limits: A butler with every cabin

Top suites and Personal butlers have been synonymous terms, until now. The world’s ritziest lines are promising personal butlers to all. Azamara Cruises have had this facility for two years ago since it was launched. Still, now we have a new player, Silversea Cruises, who announced plans to roll out personal butler service for passengers in every cabin on every ship on Wednesday. According to Christian Sauleau, Silversea’s executive vice president, each butler assisted by a suite attendant is empowered to troubleshoot problems and provide special service touches. Some of them included packing and unpacking clothing, facilitating a dry cleaning request, or preparing a scented Jacuzzi bath.

Silversea’s top cabins on the ships Royal, Grand, and Owner’s suites already offered the butler service for passengers. The Smaller Silver and Medallion Suites on its five ships will receive butler service between May 7 and June 7, followed by Silversea’s Prince Albert II and Silver Cloud on Sept 21 and Oct 9, respectively. The Silver Shadow will be the last ship to get an upgrade on Dec 2. After its debut in December, Butler’s service will be delivered to Silver Spirit (currently under construction) after its debut.
