Universal Studios Japan to get a $350 million ‘Nintendo Land’

This is the best news for Nintendo fans since the announcement of the Game Boy, finally Nintendo would be capitalizing on its hugely popular characters and games for a theme park. Well, technically its not a theme park but a section in Universal Studios japan, however considering the cost of $351 million (World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando costed $250 million) we can very well imagine the amount of rides and technology Universal will be packing into “Nintendo Land’ as it is called now. The park is scheduled to open for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

There are no details on the rides or attractions, but with the plethora of characters the possibilities are just endless. More than the tickets its the merchandising that we should start saving for.
