You can now set sail on a cruise dedicated entirely to chocolate


If you can go to despicable lengths for chocolate and sailing, then here’s some good news for you! In catering to both of you’re interested, Costa Cruises and Italy’s annual chocolate festival – Eurochocolate have recently joined forces for what happens to be a sea-sojourn loaded with chocolaty treats! Yes, that’s right!

A chocoholic’s ultimate fantasy – the ‘Eurochocolate’ cruise as it will also be called will take guests on an 8-day journey on the 3,780-guest Costa Pacifica. The Mediterranean cruise will include chocolate tasting sessions along with dine on chocolate-infused meals, chocolate cocktails and even chocolate-themed excursions at various ports. Guests will also be able to partake in chocolate and pastry-making classes onboard the ship, as well as other workshops led by master chocolatiers including Guido Gobino, Enric Rovira and Pierpaolo Ruta.

Commenting on the experience, Costa Cruises’ Italy Country manager, Carlo Schiavon in a statement said, “We try to offer unique experiences to our guests […] and this is possible thanks to prestigious partnerships like the one with Eurochocolate,” He further added, “[It] will allow us to have for the first time aboard a cruise ship the vibe, the fun and the tastes of the greatest international festival dedicated to chocolate.” The Eurochocolate cruise will depart from Civitavecchia, Italy, on 16 April next year with planned stops including Genoa, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Malta, and Catania.
