Ever wonder why some people’s vacation photos look like they’ve been plucked right out of a tourism brochure while yours look like they were taken by a child with a 2 megapixel camera? Well, one reason could definitely because you didn’t know that you could hire Hollywood blockbuster move art directors to take your pictures for you! As it turns out Tim Browning who has worked on major motion pictures including Star Wars: The Force Awakens and James Bond films Skyfall and Spectre is now the exclusive drone photographer for luxury travel company Black Tomato. Given that James Cameron has been dabbling in tourism campaigns, this project seems like a natural progression for other filmmakers too.
As part of Black Tomato’s new “Drone the World” experience, Browning will be on hand throughout your holiday to take amazing pictures of your experiences.
Browning is not the only expert on their team though, the company also hired Drone Photographers and Drone Cameramen including an unnamed professional who has helped create award winning National Geographic documentaries.
As a customer, you can choose any destination you like. On previous done trips, clients have explored Vietnam, Myanmar, Iceland etc. The only restriction is that the chosen destination must be among those where drones are allowed to film freely.
As you probably expected, it’s not cheap to have award winning professionals trail you on your trip. The starting price per person for a trip with Tim Browning is $5,500, and that’s just for one weekend.
However, Black Tomato can also hook you up with less prominent local photographers, additionally the chosen location and duration of the trip also affect the price.
This may seem like an unnecessary expense to those who travel modestly, but you can’t deny that photos from this trip would make unforgettable memories!
