2013 Chanel Premiere Flying Tourbillon timepieces dazzle with blue and pink sapphires

Chanel’s Premiere Flying Tourbillon was voted as the best ladies watch at the 2012 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. The Parisian luxury brand sets to woo women even more by introducing two new versions to the watch at Baselworld 2013. The timepiece was specially designed by Swiss expert watchmakers Renaud & Papi for Chanel whose octagonal design was inspired by the brands; No. 5 perfume bottle stopper.

As a tribute to Chanel’s founder, the dial is adorned with diamonds forming a motif of camellias, which were her favorite flowers. The off-center hour and minute hands are fit with well-cut diamonds against a black ceramic dial and have an 18-carat white gold case, while the bezel setting of the case is encrusted with baguette-cut or round diamonds or precious stones. Chanel’s latest twist to the Flying Tourbillon watch is the option that allows you to choose between the 18k white gold case set with either 39 blue or pink sapphires for the case.
