A twist in the tail! Bulgari puts a new spin on its classic Serpenti Watch

Bulgari’s stunning Serpenti watches thrill fine jewelry connoisseurs every year and we’ve seen them in almost every imaginable design. The brand however, shows no signs of wanting to retire their iconic snake watch and this year’s interpretation puts a cool spin on the classic. In this original variation, the head and tail of the legendary snake cross over on the wrist instead of remaining parallel. The quirky strap also does away with the inner spring and instead offers a comfortable fit using adjustable links.

bulgari-serpenti-2The gold bracelet is entirely handcrafted and features a twin-pusher clasp allowing the wearer to fasten the snake’s head – which double’s as the dial- to the tail end. The watch is available in two variants pink gold with a black lacquered dial or white entirely paved with diamonds. The rose gold version features a black lacquer dial and 26 mm pink gold case complete with 6 diamonds (0.46 cts). The dial itself uses 33 tiny diamonds (0.054 cts) to form the watch indices. The 18K pink gold strap is a single coil with its many links bearing a total of 96 diamonds (2.01 cts).

While we can only bring you images of the rose gold, the second promises to be equally stunning with a dial snow-set with 144 diamonds (0.29 cts) and an entirely paved white gold case and bracelet set with 174 diamonds (12.89 cts). No word as of now on the price and availability but you can be sure that we will be waiting eagerly for these beauties.
