Armand Nicolet’s Limited Edition L06

I confess that I had to do a bit of research on this brand as I was not aware of its existence. But now I have understood that Armand Nicolet watches are sold all over the world as fine illustrations of Swiss watching making a distinction. Their Limited edition watches are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike. Armand Nicolet’s L06 is a limited series of 425 pieces with a movement of Small Seconds UT 176 created in 1951 that has been elaborated giving it more modern and refined technical characteristics. With the new L06, the makers wanted to revise the classical aesthetics by lightly retouching the lines in a more modern version and playing with diverse combinations of materials and colors.

The “ruage” and the system of “reglage” have been revised to obtain the characteristics of regulation comparable to the best Swiss mechanical production. The movements have been finely decorated with the “Côte de Genève” with gold engravings and blue polo’ screws that stand out in the splendid finishing of the rhodium plating of the bridges. The stainless steel case measures 40mm and features an AR-coated sapphire crystal. The open-worked dial is available in black, grey, or silver, with a guilloche pattern and applied hour markers. One can also opt for other versions that are available in 18kr rose gold or steel and rose gold (bezel).
