China is getting its share of the limelight these days, and this one adds to its profile. The country’s motor racing and luxury haven Shanghai hosted a special event where seven-time Formula One World Champion Michael Schumacher made his first appearance in the Asia Pacific region, as the Icon of Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet. He spoke to a group of 40 VIP guests and more than 10 supercar owners at the Shanghai Tianma Circuit, after which he thrilled guests with a demo on the track in a Mercedes-AMG SLS AMG car. The day also featured a cocktail reception and gala dinner at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Shanghai Pudong. The latest offerings from the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Royal Oak Offshore timepiece collections.
