After pleasing the watch connoisseur with the exquisite Vintage Collection of timepieces, Bell & Ross have unveiled yet another beauty. This latest offering from Bell & Ross is dubbed the BR 01-02 Compass. If you have been a follower of Bell & Ross, you will remember that a similar version of this watch was previewed a few years ago at Baselworld. Taking a design cue from the Vintage Collection, the BR 01-02 Compass draws its inspiration from yesteryear aviation navigation instruments. The watch keeps time via one fixed point at the top of the dial. Instead of two hands moving around a dial, the BR 01-02 Compass has two dials that move around a single hand (i.e., a fixed point).
The hours are represented by the outer dial (or disk) while the minutes by the inner dial (or disk). Each of the disks moves independently to display the time.
And like most B&R offerings, the BR 01-02 is a limited edition creation restricted to 500 examples only. Said to be available from October 2010, this limited-edition timepiece will have an asking price of around $5,500.
