Blancpain launches its new St Valentine’s Day Ladybird special

The season of flaunting your love is almost upon us and from the house of Blancpain comes ‘The Loveable Ladybird’, a delicate, limited-edition timepiece just in time for Valentine’s Day. Blancpain’s Ladybird was the world’s smallest round watch at the time of its launch in 1956.

The new timepiece will feature a mother-of-pearl dial adorned with brilliant-cut diamonds. A second mother-of-pearl marquetry heart sits in the center of the face, half-decked in sparkling diamonds and rubies. The 21.5 mm-diameter white gold case of this Ladybird St Valentine’s Day model comes studded with more than 0.5 carats of diamonds. At the heart of this two-hand model is the 15.7 mm-diameter self-winding 6150 movement: known to be one of the smallest in the world and now equipped with a silicon balance-spring.
Symbolizing your love, a heart pierced by an arrow enhances the watch at 6 o’clock. This white gold charm features a ruby heart and a diamond arrow and is removable. Blancpain launched its charms at the Baselworld 2015, specially for the Ladybird and can be easily attached at 12 or 6 o’clock.

The Ladybird Saint Valentine’s Day 2016 also features a calfskin strap in an engraved and numbered 99-piece limited edition. So go on, grab yours today and get set to profess your timeless love this Valentines’ Day
