Blancpain is one of the official partners of the 32nd edition of the International Boat Show. To mark this special occasion, Blancpain has announced the worldwide release of its latest timepiece- the 500 Fathoms diver’s watch. Blancpain is also launching a limited edition 500 Fathoms Cannes 2009 timepiece at the same time. Keeping with the tradition and celebrating its historical ties with the maritime world, the Blancpain story is inscribed on the dial of the 500 Fathoms’ timepiece in the “navy” blue. The brushed titanium case features double AR-coated sapphire crystals. Powered by the automatic Blancpain caliber 1315 movement with 35 jewels, the 500 fathoms diver watch boasts of a power reserve of 120 hours.
The timepiece is water-resistant up to 1000 meters, while its case measures 48mm X 17mm with 24mm lugs. The limited-edition 500 Fathoms Cannes 2009 model, on the other hand, comes fitted with a black rubber-lined sail canvas strap. There are an additional rubber strap and a dedicated tool to secure it. The limited-edition timepiece is delivered in an ultra-sturdy watertight presentation box designed to withstand extreme conditions. Limited to just 50 units, this timepiece is definitely a class apart.
