Every luxurious watch manufacturer is going out of his/her way to create a unique timepiece for the Only Watch auction. After Corum, it is now Bovet who has created a beautifully designed timepiece just for this charity auction. Known as the Bovet Trilogy watch, it is a unique timepiece that recreates miniature the world’s most famous painting, Leonardo Da Vinci’s immortal Mona Lisa. The case of this one-of-a-kind timepiece measures 42mm and is made of 18K rose gold. The case has beautiful hand-carved Fleurisanne engraving on the flanks, the lugs, and signature Bovet curved bow. Both the winding crown and the outer hinge of the bow display the impeccably elegant touch of set blue sapphire cabochons. The miniature enamel painting by a Bovet master took over a month’s effort and time to complete. The task required the master to work under a microscope with a chosen palette of colors and the finest and most minuscule brushes. The final effect is for all to see. The beautiful recreation resembles the original to every last detail and looks elegant against the black mother of pearl’s opalescent background.
The watch resides in an equally elegant presentation case of burled hardwood. This beautiful box also contains an alligator leather strap with an engraved rose gold folding clasp in addition to a rose gold chain and bow attachment, the latter allowing conversion of the Bovet Trilogy into a pocket watch. A beautiful timepiece, it is sure to fetch some of the highest bids at the auction.
