Italian watchmaker Bulgari has added to new models to its celebrated Octo collection. Opting for an elegant and powerful monochromatic tone of black, the two new watches launched by the watch brand are the Octo Finissimo Skeleton Black Edition and the Octo L’Originale Chronograph Black Edition. Both models are treated with jet-black DLC (diamond-like carbon) giving them that exquisite appeal. “Bulgari is always looking for contemporary elegance,” said Guido Terreni, managing director of Bulgari Horlogerie. “The new Octo Ultranero Chronograph expresses urban sporty elegance, while the Octo Ultranero Finissimo Skeleton highlights a supreme refinement that matches perfectly [with] its skeletonized movement.”
Starting with the Octo Finissimo Skeleton watch, the black edition shares the same specifications as the previous models. The change comes in the form of the all-black finish and the ultra-light DLC-coated titanium case and bracelet. The rose gold-plated hands contrast the black tone of the watch making it even more appealing. The detailed open-worked dial gives a glimpse of the in-house caliber BLV128S. The ultra-thin skeleton movement is just 2.35mm thick and has an impressive power reserve of 65 hours.
The completely blacked out 41 mm Octo L’Originale has a contemporary, urban character to it. Powering the timepiece is the self-winding BVL 328 Velocissimo caliber. The watch comes paired with an integrated rubber strap, also in black, which completes the stealth look of the Octo L’Originale Chronograph Black Edition. The prices are EUR 22,900 (about $26,500) for the Octo Finissimo Skeleton Black Edition and EUR 9,950 (roughly $11,500) for the Octo L’Originale Chronograph Black Edition.
