One of the most prominent Italian jewelry and luxury goods brand, Bulgari, has showcased its fresh timepieces for the year ahead. The company will soon release the first Ultranero versions of the Bulgari Octo watch. Four new models will be unveiled in all, each unique and intricately designed. The watches are angular and boast a sculpted look, with a distinctive octagonal case shape that Bulgari inherited from its acquisition of independent watchmaker Gerald Genta. To be launched at Baselworld 2016, the new lineup of Octo watches combine black diamond-like carbon with pink gold, for a winning combination.
Bulgari will release the ultra-thin Finissimo Tourbillon, Velocissimo chronograph and the time-only Solotempo in two finishes. The Finissimo Tourbillon is one of the thinnest of its kind around, measuring in at a thickness of just 5 mm, with a 40 mm titanium case and an in-house BVL 268 hand-wound movement. The Velocissimo chronograph comes with the Zenith El Primero automatic chronograph movement and features a 41 mm case in steel and pink gold. The Solotempo on the other hand is the simplest of the Octo lineup, with a 41 mm steel case available with a bezel of either pink gold or DLC steel. Both the Solotempo watches are powered by the BVL 193 automatic movement. While the Finissimo Tourbillon is priced at $8,600, the Solotempo and the Velocissimo are priced at $11,400 and $14,000 respectively.
