Chopard celebrates 150 years of watchmaking with Chopard L.U.C Tourbillon Esprit de Fleurier

Chopard turns 150 (yes it’s really the great-granddad of the Horlogerie world). And to celebrate the occasion, the watchmaker, as in tradition, has unveiled a limited edition, edifying the brand’s century old tradition. Behold Chopard L.U.C Tourbillon Esprit de Fleurier. A tribute to both founder Louis-Ulysse Chopard and the unique and beautiful art of Fleurisanne engraving is a technique that can be appreciated through the open-worked dial and the sapphire crystal caseback, and this piece is cased in gold. Encased in 18-carat white gold with an 18-carat gold dial, the USP of this timeless piece is the C.O.S.C. certified hand-wound L.U.C. 4TT3NGM Calibre with 18-carat gold main plate and bridges and a generous power reserve of 8 days, marked by an indicator at 2 o’clock.

A rich drama of precious metals and finishes, the real star of the show is the intricate tapestry of fine engraving that makes this piece truly special. With only 15 pieces in making, it has to be one gold memento worth clambering for! No word on pricing however.
