Who could fathom that three keywords: floral, feminine, and flamboyant had the power to inspire such a magnificent work of art! Dipped in elegance, Corum’s Admiral’s Cup Legend 38 timepiece is a model that befits royalty. The new Haute joaillerie features no less than 1,444 sparkling stones, baguettes and brilliant-cut diamonds, and sapphires in radiant colors like pink and purple. The entire set of dazzlers exudes quite the mesmerizing effect, courtesy of the skill of Corum’s gem setters, who have handcrafted the entire set in invisible and snow-setting techniques, gifting us a watch in utmost perfection.
The most challenging task in making the watch has been its dial, the creation of the floral motif that brilliantly stands out. For this, gems – 24 baguette-cut purple sapphires (approx. 2.04 cts), 138 baguette-cut diamonds (approx. 3.11 cts), 108 baguette-cut pink sapphires (approx. 1.67 cts), and 198 brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 0.25 cts) have been meticulously set and held together with a silver-based alloy liquid that seeped through the tiniest gaps between the stones securing them to the other, forming a whole.
Not just the floral motif is a stand out; mentionable is also the snow-set diamonds in varied sizes on the case, bezel, lug, and crown, inclusive of the clasp, which secures the white crocodile straps. 804 brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 3.79 cts) have been used to cover the 18-carat white gold body of the Admiral’s Cup Legend 38.
Corum unveils through this timepiece, not just a beauty set in precious stones but also a remarkable watch that runs on a mechanical automatic movement; Caliber CO 082 features 28,800vph and offers 42 hours of power reserve.
