French sailor Loïck Peyron is Corum’s new brand ambassador

Corum, the famed watchmaking brand known for creating exquisite timepieces, believes in associating with only the best. This belief has led the brand to appoint renowned sailor Loïck Peyron as its new brand ambassador. Just like the watchmaker, the sailor has to his credit a list of accomplishments (including 43 transatlantic crossings, 5 ORMA multihull world championship titles, 16 Grand Prix wins, 2 round-the-world races, and many more victories). Known as one of the best sailors in the world today, the 50-year-old French sailor is now ready to take a plunge into the Corum waters. Loïck’s association with Corum began long before his official appointment as the brand ambassador. A partner of the OKALYSCORUM team since 2009, Corum was proud to see its colors worn and defended by the team. Loïck, a team member, immediately associated with the brand’s values and seemed to have formed a bond with the Corum personnel.

On March 30th, 2010, in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Loïck Peyron was officially welcomed into the Corum family. As the brand ambassador, the sailor now plans to associate his sailing creativity and expertise with Corum’s watch making know-how and technical mastery to create a new timepiece. Loïck, nicknamed “the last of the Mohicans,” follows the motto “Excel to Win,” proving why he was the favorite choice of Corum.
Says the renowned sailor of his new appointment: “Beautiful stories always begin with passion, sharing, and friendship. It is a great pleasure for me to become part of the Corum family.”
