Timepieces are special. Their make, design, concept, even their heritage, everything is special. When a name like Girard-Perregaux is attached to a timepiece, it becomes even more special. The new Girard-Perregaux 1966 Minute Repeater, Annual Calendar & Equation of Time is a fine example of just how special a Girard-Perregaux is. A special edition of just 15 exquisite timepieces, this new model boasts an 18 carat rose gold case that measures 42 mm, an AR-coated sapphire crystal, and a sapphire display back.
The dial, made in a silver sunburst pattern, is brass and steals your heart with its 18kt rose gold appliqués and hands, which are coated in diamond powder piece by piece. The exquisite model is powered by a Swiss manual-wind Girard-Perregaux in-house caliber E09-0003 movement with 48 jewels, 21,600 vph. The timepiece boasts a power reserve of 100 hours, and it is water-resistant up to 30 meters. A brown alligator strap with an 18kt rose gold ardillon buckle adds the finishing touches to this special edition creation.
Besides hours, minutes, small seconds, the other functions of the timepiece include a minute repeater, an annual calendar, and an equation of time complications.
