A few timepieces are built to strike awe, just like this beautiful machine by premium watchmaker, Girard-Perregaux. Called the Constant Escapement, this timepiece steps away from the Swiss watchmaker’s usual rituals of creating classic pieces. Instead, the new watch moves towards the modern side of design, without completely losing out on classical influences. The watch comes with a 48mm wide 18k white gold case, complete with an industrial visual treatment given to the Constant Escapement itself.
Also, this wrist-watch uses an in-house created caliber, the MVT-009100-0007 that performs exceptionally well, making the Constant Escapement reliable and trustworthy. The watch uses a one-of-a-kind escapement produced from silicon, marking a revolution in the world of watch-making. Sporting a dial silvered with grained finish and rhodium-plated appliqués and dauphine style hands, this wrist-watch is water resistant up to 30 meters and sports 28 jewels and 271 components in all. Fastening it safely to your wrist is a beautiful black alligator strap. The Girard-Perregaux Constant Escapement is priced at $100,000 and is not a limited edition timepiece.
