Limited edition Hermes Dressage L’heure Masquée tells the time in the most mischievous and beautiful way. Like a magician’s profound trick, it creates the illusion that each passing moment is temporarily remembered. Powered by the ‘time-veil’ function, the hour hand remains hidden beneath the constantly moving minute hand, solely deigning to appear at a deliberate press on a crown-integrated push button.
The fleeting apparition captures exclusively the moment in hand and vanishes as soon as the pressure is released. A symbol of assertion and masculinity, the mechanics are orchestrated by the interaction of the rack, pinion and gear trains, and when stimulated, the hour cam releases from its hiding place.
In this entirely manufacture-made composition, self-winding Calibre H1925 is equipped with 46 jewels, 28,800 vib/h, circular-grained and snailed main plate, satin-brushed bridges and oscillating weight adorned with the special Hermès decoration (H symbols) and a 45-hour power reserve.
The case, in 18kt rose gold, or in stainless steel, measures 40.5mm x 38.5mm. It has double AR-coated sapphire crystals and it is water resistant to 50 meters. The dial is opaline silver with stamped central vertical guilloché motif, the hands coated with SuperlumiNova and second time zone indication at 6 o’clock.
The strap is Hermes matte Havana alligator leather with metal folding clasp. The 500 pieces of the limited edition are available in 18k rose gold and 1,000 pieces in stainless steel.
