Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces a white gold version of its iconic 101 Feuille jewelry-watch for women

An iconic which was first created in 1959. After introducing a rose gold version last year which was made available for the 2018 Venice Film Festival, JLC has recreated the timepiece in white gold for 2019. The feminine watch retains its timeless bracelet design and is encrusted with a total of 171 diamonds (10.13 carats) of different diameters, set individually by hand to completely cover the watch. The timepiece has a tiny dial hidden behind a lid which is shaped like a leaf. Completely covered with diamonds, the leaf can be raised or lowered with one simple movement giving the owner the ability to reveal its silvered opaline dial with absolute discretion.

In most cases, such a tiny watch is usually powered by a quartz movement; however, the watch houses a mechanical movement that was developed 90 years ago. The jewelry-watch is powered by the renowned Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 101 which was developed by the Manufacture in 1929. With a volume of 0.2 cm3 and a thickness of 3.4 mm, it remains the smallest mechanical movement in the world to this day. The manually wound movement is made out of 98 components and requires very experienced hands to be assembled. There is no information on the price of the timepiece.
