The newest creation of Jaeger-LeCoultre, the Rendez-Vous Ivy Minute Repeater timepiece, echoed the brand’s philosophy of blending the most beautiful form of artistry with horological genius and creativity. It is the first minute repeater to make its way into a feminine Jaeger-LeCoultre collection that has resulted from ten years of development. The Swiss watchmaker has chosen ivy, a decorative motif already featured in the creative palette of the Grande Maison, as a platform for its master craftsmen to express their artistry for this timepiece, thanks to which the Rendez-Vous Ivy Minute Repeater watch achieves a perfect blend of aesthetics and technical excellence.
The case of the watch measures 39mm and is made of 18k white gold. It is encrusted with 548 diamonds (2.3 carats) and it looks stunning. The Rendez-Vous Ivy Minute Repeater ladies’ watch required the development of a new movement, the Calibre 942A. This highly accurate automatic movement beats at a rhythm of 28,800 vibrations per hour and is fitted with a 43-hour power-reserve. In fact, the Hybris Mechanica 11 – Master Ultra Thin Minute Repeater Flying Tourbillon – is the only timepiece which boasts a combination of this mechanism with a minute-repeater function. Equipped with a silent regulator to reduce any peripheral sound disturbance of the mechanism, the watch is fitted with two patented trebuchet hammers which strike two crystal gongs connected to the sapphire crystal harder and just once, producing a loudspeaker effect. This watch will debut at Watches & Wonders in Hong Kong which starts today.
