After Breitling, it is now the turn of another luxury watchmaker to charm customers with its iPhone application. The aforementioned luxury watchmaker is none other than Jaeger-LeCoultre, who has created an App that aims to share the fascinating world of fine watch making with the public. IPhone owners get a chance to explore the various stages in creating a watch through this application. They have access to a particularly comprehensive dictionary of horology and six watch initiation classes. What is more, you can choose from the brand’s most iconic models like Reverso Squadra to the Reverso Gyrotourbillon 2, along with the Master Compressor Diving Pro Geographic. The classes will enable users to practice various watchmaking techniques on their screen like assembling a chronograph mechanism, decorating and jewelling a movement (where you are expected to gem-set a Reverso Neva making no mistakes in record time), polishing, engraving, and gem-setting a case.
The watch classes are displayed at a rate of one new class every two weeks. At the end of all the lessons, a prize draw will reward one of the learners having correctly answered all three competition questions. The winner will be offered a guided tour of the Manufacture located in the Vallée de Joux.
The unique application gives users a chance to explore and test 60 different models.
