In time for Baselworld 2017, Jaquet Droz had given the world a glance at their beautiful new timepiece for women. The Grande Seconde Tourbillon Mother-of-Pearl is an enchanting watch that brings together Swiss watchmaking and fine design. Inspired by the age of Enlightenment, this watch is a delicate and artistic representation of the company’s rich history of watchmaking.
Featuring a 39mm red gold case with brilliant cut diamonds glittering on the bezel and lugs, the watch is a testament to refined artistry. On the mother of pearl dial are two subdials that form a figure 8 – which of course is the company’s lucky number. The time is indicated on roman numeral indices with blue steel hands.
Inside is a tourbillon, which -for the first time in Jaquet Droz history- has been fitted with a silicone balance spring and pallet horns. The Jaquet Droz 25JD.Si, self-winding tourbillon movement is equipped with a 7-day power reserve and includes a gold oscillating weight adorned with white mother-of-pearl. These little details can be enjoyed through the sapphire crystal caseback.
A white satin strap with diamond set folding clasp completes the look. With just 88 pieces produced worldwide, these stunners are going to cause a stampede!
