MB&F MegaWind watch is a redesign of the iconic HM3

MB&F sure seems awed by their own Horological Machine No.3 watch. Probably that is why there is such a wide variety of spinoffs based on the watch. After the HM3 ReBel watch, Purple HM3 Frog Zr, HM3 Poison Dart Frog and the HM3 Owl, the brand seems to have gotten bored of animal avatars of its “most iconic machines”. This new watch resembles a spaceship, all thanks to a flipped-up automatic movement that shows off MB&F’s signature “battle-ax” winding rotor at the top of the case. Dubbed MegaWind, the watch is designed by Eric Giroud, working on the original concept by Maximilian Büsser. Jean-Marc Wiederrecht is the man behind the movement inside. MegaWind also sports a rotor with a titanium center and fixed arms on 22-carat gold blades on either side.

One of the cones houses the Hours function, whereas the second cone shows minutes. Encased within a 18 carat white gold/titanium or 18 carat red gold/titanium casing with a sky-ble rotor, the watch measures 47mm x 50mm x 17mm.

Protected by sapphire cones and sapphire crystals both at the front and back, the watches have been finished with a black hand-stitched alligator strap sporting an 18-carat gold and titanium custom-designed folding buckle.
