Montblanc adds brand new feminine expressions to its Bohème collection of timepieces

Launched back in 2014, Montblanc’s Bohème product line constitutes of watches that are created with the contemporary and self-confident women in mind, and made with high technical and artisanal standards. The luxury brand has refreshed the collection for 2019 by several new timepieces: two new Manufacture Perpetual Calendars, a new Full Calendar and four new Day/Night models. “The new female watch creations are a tribute to the modern and independent woman’s self-confidence and self-expression, who is true to herself, her passions and her dreams,” said Montblanc CEO Nicolas Baretzki. The watches from the Bohème line are recognized by their polished cases with slightly curved and faceted horns, sculpted onion crowns and bezels set with sparkling diamonds. Each model features leaf-shaped hands, floral Arabic numerals, minute scales with raised dots and internal hour rings, while the dial is crafted with traditional decorative techniques, such as guilloché and gem-setting; all of them help Bohème watches blend simplicity with timeless design.

The latest Bohème Manufacture Perpetual Calendar welcomes an all-new, in-house perpetual calendar, the calibre MB 29.22, which indicates the hours, minutes, day, date, month, moon phase and leap year in an extremely legible way thanks to its large counters at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. The watchmaker says it took them three years to develop the movement and it constitutes solely of wheels, as opposed to levers found in most perpetual calendars. This helps the user to adjust the watch via the crown in both directions, making it far simpler to set.

The new Montblanc Full Calendar, on the other hand, features a 36 mm polished steel case with anti-scratch sapphire crystal and caseback. The timepiece comes with a full calendar complication in a pure and elegant aesthetic and the indications include the month in an aperture at 12 o’clock, the date around the outside of the dial and a moon phase at 6 o’clock. It is equipped with a brand-new blue grené calf strap. Two new Bohème Day/Night models are available in a 30mm case size, which is accompanied by an additional pair of models that come in a 34mm size. The day/night indicator, as the name suggests, allows the wearer to know if it’s day or night, which is indicated by a light blue sky and golden sun for day and a smiling golden moon in a dark blue sky adorned with stars for night.
