Though there are a few more months to go until the 2013 Only Watch tour begins, we can see the most renowned watch brands up and about, producing the most exquisite timepiece to dazzle watch enthusiasts at the event. Beginning with the tour, the entire episode to Only Watch would conclude with a charity event (as usual), where the watches presented by acclaimed brands would be auctioned. We have already showcased a few of these exquisite watches earlier. Let’s proceed to check more……
Piaget reiterates its support towards Only Watch for the fifth consecutive year, gifting the charity event a unique Piaget Altiplano Automatic 38mm Skeleton. The most distinguishing feature of this watch is the world’s thinnest automatic open worked calibre (5.34 mm) – the 1200S positioned at the center, delicately hollowed out, and for the first time treated to a black PVD finish, and the thinnest movement ever made in its category (2.40 mm). Further labeling it as unique is an engrave in the back that reads “ Only Watch 2013 – unique piece”. Other features include 31.9mm diameter, 26 jewels, 21,600 vph frequency, 44-hour power reserve and black alligator strap.
Vacheron Constantin –
Vacheron Constantin is also one among the brands, presenting Only Watch its contribution towards the event. The opulent watchmaker gifts a newer version of its most exclusive watches, the Patrimony Traditionnelle WorldTime piece that’s widely known as the complete mechanical world timer. The 2013 watch would be a model of the same watch, but in platinum and featuring a white cloisonné enamel dial with a partial red and white 24-hour day/night ring. Measuring to a 42.5 mm-diameter, the other highlights of the watch include: caliber 2460WT, 40 hours of power reserve, an exhibition case-back, an inscription on the rear that reads “Only Watch 2013, Pièce unique”, while the front side shows the outline of the French Riviera which has been expertly engraved and enameled by the famous enameling artist Anita Porchet. A single round-cut diamond is placed where the city-state of Monaco is located.
Hublot Red Ceramic Classic Fusion is a stunner with its never before seen bright red case in ceramics, titanium and composite resin, measuring 45mm. The watch has a ceramic bezel that is affixed with 6 H-shaped titanium screws. It has double AR-coated sapphire crystals and is water resistant to 30 meters. Other features include the Swiss hand-wind Hublot in-house caliber MHUB6010.H1.1 movement with 19 jewels, 21,600 vph, and a 5-days power reserve. The strap is in black alligator stitched onto black rubber, and has red accented stitching and a black PVD steel deployant for a buckle.
Harry Winston –
Harry Winston gifts the Only Watch initiative an exclusive model – the Midnight Big Date from its exquisite Midnight Collection. Features of the watch include a case in 18kt rose gold measuring 42mm x 10.2mm, double sapphire crystals and water resistance to 30 meters. The watch follows a Swiss automatic Harry Winston in-house caliber HW1018 movement with 35 jewels, 28,800 vph, and a power reserve of 72 hours. The dial is black, broad snailed finish with a sunray satin-brushed chapter ring excentered at 12 o’clock, a baguette-emerald-cut diamond at 12 o’clock and black fine snailed-finish chapter ring center. It also has an applied rose gold date circle set featuring one brilliant-cut pink diamond at 6 o’clock, and sunray satin-brushed finish at the center. The strap is black alligator with an 18kt rose gold ardillon buckle.
