Parmigiani Fleurier and Lalique collaborate for exclusive 15 Day Clock

Parmigiani Fleurier is a brand known for their attention to detail and their delicate watchmaking. The 15 Day Table Clock is yet another brilliant example of their expertise and aesthetics. They have joined forces with renowned French glassmaker Lalique to produce a new interpretation of the 15 Day Clock. This exclusive limited edition clock will be produced in three different crystal casings, classy white, deep blue or red. Each version will be limited to 15 pieces with 5 clocks coming out per year till 2015. The 15 Days Clock was a marvel of watchmaking when it was first unveiled in 2012, however Parmigiani Fleurier chose to enhance the clocks appeal by working with Lalique on the exteriors of this marvelous clock.

For the mechanics at Parmigiani, creating this clock was a task in itself because they had to quite literally relearn their craft. Learning to work standing up as versus sitting, working with fingers rather than tweezers and most importantly trusting the naked eye as versus the watchmaker’s magnifier. Lalique was challenged in the opposite manner, as they had to learn to work with the smaller more delicate dimensions of the clock.
