The Tonda Tourbillon model’s dial flaunts first Parmigiani Fleurier Marquetries.As its name suggests, this timepiece has wood as one of its main elements. The dial is made from wood! The wooden dial takes 10 days’ work and comprises more than fifty pieces of dyed wood. Each piece of wood is designed, cut, and then assembled cautiously to ensure the dial appears perfectly flat to the naked eye.
The case is 18kt rose gold and measures 42mm x 11.5m,m and it has an AR-coated sapphire crystal and a sapphire display back. Powered by a Swiss hand-wind Parmigiani in-house caliber PF510 with Tourbillon and power reserve complications, this timepiece is water-resistant up to 30meters and boasts of a 1-week power reserve.
An Hermes alligator strap with an 18kt rose gold folding buckle adds the finishing touches to this creation. There is also a platinum version of the Tonda Woodstock timepiece, which is only available in the United Kingdom.
