It’s raining watches at BaselWorld this year, and Rolex surely doesn’t want to be left behind. I don’t know its fetish with pure yellow gold watches, but it certainly is far from being classy or opulent. And now it’s the turn for the brand to add yellow to closets of gold-loving women. The latest entrant is the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust Lady 31. But it’s not all 31mm 18-carat yellow gold bling, but the watch also sports 48 brilliant-cut diamonds on its bezel. Adding to the yellow is a champagne color dial set with eight diamonds. At 6 and 9 o’clock, you can notice 18-carat yellow gold Arabic numerals set with 16 rubies each.
Also debuting is the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Lady-Datejust with a 26mm dial that looks alamaringly similar to the previous model, with the only difference being a large VI set with 11 rubies delicately instead of the roman 6 and 9 ruby set numbers in the pervious watch. Both watches sport more yellow gold, thanks to the President bracelet with a concealed folding Crownclasp both set in the same metal. The watches come with calibre 2235, a self-winding mechanical movement and offer 100 metres of water resistance.
