SIHH 2018: The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Aventador S Blue

Back in September 2017, luxury Swiss watch brand Roger Dubuis unveiled the Aventador S watch at the Lamborghini Headquarters in Italy. Spawned out of the partnership between RD and Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the motorsport division of the Italian carmaker, the watchmaker has introduced a new version of the super-watch at the SIHH 2018. The new Excalibur Aventador S Blue, as the name suggests, is decked out in blue which is contrasted with red accents. Crafted using the same C-SMC carbon used in Lamborghini racing cars, the 45mm case of the watch bears a titanium mid-case molded over with blue rubber.

The watch comes on a black and Neptune blue bi-material strap that features red stitching, RD pattern on the inside of the strap and a titanium black DLC clasp with adjustable folding buckle and quick release system. Fitted inside the case Poinçon de Genève certified, automatic mechanical RD103SQ caliber with double sprung balances with differential. The caliber works at a 2 x 4 Hz frequency, giving it a better resistance to gravity effects and therefore a higher precision. It has a power reserve of 40 hours.
