Expanding its empire and foraying into a new territory is Spyker, which has recently unveiled its very own luxurious timepieces line. The Dutch sports car company timed its new venture’s unveiling to brilliantly coincide with celebrations for the brand’s 24 Hours of Le Mans participation. Sure to give stiff competition to its rivals like Ferrari and Bugatti who each have their line of luxurious timepieces, the Spyker collection of timepieces has been designed and engineered by renowned watch and luxury goods expert, Thierry Chaunu of Expression D’Artistes International. The Spyker chronographs are available in solid 18K grey or rose gold finishes or in polished steel or matt black titanium finishes. The bezel flaunts Spyker’s Latin motto, NULLA TENACI INVIA EST VIA (which translates to: for the tenacious no road is impassable), while the crown resembles the brand’s wire-spoke and propeller bonnet badge.
Furthermore, the pushbuttons mimic Spyker exhaust pipes. Simultaneously, the steel dial with gauges indicating hours, minutes, seconds, and a 42-hour power reserve is reminiscent of the turned aluminum finish of the dashboard found in Spyker’s supercars. Completing the timepieces’ luxe appeal are the quilted leather bracelets that have been hand-stitched in France using Royal Dutch Hulshof leather and are available in Dutch Spyker Orange, Black Anthracite, or Blanc de Blanc white.
The 18k grey or rose gold versions are limited to 250 units each, while polished steel or matt black titanium finished versions are limited to 1000 units. Water-resistant up to 100 meters, the price range of this debut collection of timepieces from Spyker ranges from $9,750 and can go up to $30,500.
